The essential elegance of Japanese inspiration and the rich texture of solid wood, highlighted by the precious interlocking workmanship: this is how Kyoto was born, a faithful re-edition of the table that Gianfranco Frattini designed in 1974, presented by Poltrona Frau on the occasion of the launch of the 2020 collection. In the Kyoto table, the construction concept becomes the object itself. The absence of decorative elements enhances the beauty of the raw material - the Canaletto walnut inserts have a specific reinforcing role - requiring great skill and care in the creation, and in-depth knowledge of the material. The Kyoto table is part of the permanent collection of the Design Museum at the Triennale di Milano

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Top and legs structure. In extra light solid beech wood available in two finishes:
- extra light beech version, with solid canaletto walnut inserts at the top of the slats of the top and legs
- extra light beech lacquered matt black (RAL 9005) with red lacquered inserts (RAL 3002) at the top of the slats of the top and legs
The wooden slats are joined together with 45° joints to form a square pattern. All surfaces are treated with a protective transparent matt varnish
Legs. Removable chiasmus legs that can be positioned as desired
Aesthetic details. The Poltrona Frau logo and the architect's signature are laser engraved on one of the faces of the leg uprights
