Artemide Eclisse table/wall lamp in different finishes

Eclisse, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1965, won the Compasso d'Oro in 1967 and has become the representative of Italian design in the world. Eclisse is an avant-garde balance between form and function, design and utility. The basis of the concept lies in its functionality of regulating the intensity of the light through its rotating internal lampshade that "eclipses" the light source. In fact, with a fixed external casing and a movable internal casing, the lamp can provide direct or diffused light
Table lamp, can also be wall mounted. Painted metal body available in white, red, orange or yellow and in PVD version, made with an innovative and sustainable vacuum metal deposition process ("sputtering"), available in black, brass, copper or mirror
From an environmental point of view, this new finish is one of the cleanest coating technologies: it uses only metals that are not harmful to health and completely eliminates all emissions, in particular those into the atmosphere of sulphuric acid and cyanides, normally produced by galvanic processes
The subsequent phase of transparent protective painting, aimed at ensuring a long-lasting aesthetic quality of the finish, uses a solid paint with a maximum of 5% solvents (compared to a traditional 75%). The waste generated by the process is extremely limited
Eclisse is part of the permanent collection of the most important design museums, including the MoMa in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan
