The contemporary interpretation of the design armchair designed in 1935 for the Metz & Co department store in Amsterdam: an anthropometric response to accommodate new needs for comfort.
The juxtaposition of orthogonal elements - backrest and seat that meet on the ground and armrests that become support - characterizes the Utrecht armchair, which has become an icon of the neoplastic movement
All models have a steel supporting structure and covering characterized by a horse-point or zigzag stitching.
