Cassina Antella extendable console table in lacquered wood 169x63(122) cm

The Japanese architect Kazuhide Takahama designs Antella as a truly multifunctional piece of furniture. Based on specific needs, it is possible to transform the wall console into a modern oval table, giving Antella an iconic and versatile character.
The structure of the lacquered console is painted in polyester, recalling the ancient tradition of lacquering appreciated by the author and often used on other products in the Simon collection since the late 1960s.
The two semi-circular tops and the hinged elements, locked together by a magnet, allow the structure to be folded according to the available area, thus characterising an original space-saving piece of furniture that can be positioned on the wall or completely opened to function as a dining table.
