In the world of Japanese calligraphy there is an invisible, but conscious, continuity between points, lines and characters, called "iren". This continuity in gestures means that the signs are in perfect harmony with each other even if they appear divided. Even in an era like ours, so dominated by technology, the Iren desk has as its spirit not only the search for beauty and essentiality, but above all the recovery of the natural and harmonious gesture: a desk that gives life to new scenarios and rituals of working, in a relationship of natural fluidity between the body and the object. The designer Kensaku Oshiro imagined the Iren desk as a small domestic station capable of adapting easily to the modern lifestyle

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Desk top. Made up of two overlapping tops, both in beech plywood with ash edging. The lower L-shaped top is fixed and has a recess in the surface suitable for holding small objects. The upper top slides using internal guides and rests on a matt black painted metal box that conceals the sliding guides and can house, in the Wall version, two USB sockets
NB: The desk is made in the DX and LH versions based on the sliding direction of the upper top
Structural components. The top is supported and attached to the wall via a solid ash structure, an under-top plate and two matt black painted metal brackets. The wall support can be accessorised with an LED
