Mounting precautions
• Each VL must be connected to a remote motor unit
• Between two VLs it is possible install hobs up to 80 cm wide, except CX 482 hobs
• Vario hobs such as electric grills and gas wok hobs should be positioned between 2 VL
• Recirculation operation is not recommended in combination with Vario electric grills
• For optimal performance in air recirculation, we recommend an outflow surface of at least 440 cm²
• In case of installation near a gas hob, provide the AA deflector accessory 414010
• The appliance is equipped with fixing springs which block the top after insertion from above
• Depending on the type of installation (free-standing or flush), the configuration of the cutout and the position of the knob may vary
• If multiple devices from the Vario 400 series are combined, it is necessary to use the VA 420 connecting element between the various devices. Depending on the type of installation, the corresponding connecting element must be provided
• The load-bearing capacity and stability, particularly in the case of thin worktops, must be supported by suitable substructures. Take into account the weight of the appliance and additional loads
• Additional instructions for flush installation: Installation is possible in stone, synthetic or solid wood surfaces. The thermal resistance and watertightness of the edges of the cut must be respected. Regarding other materials, please consult the manufacturer of the worktop
• The groove must be continuous and uniform, so as to guarantee the correct positioning of the appliance on the gasket. Do not use a discontinuous covering
• The width of the joint may vary due to dimensional tolerances of the combinations and the cutout on the worktop
• Ensure greater ventilation of the room if the hood is installed in a room where there is a functioning fireplace
